The Beauty of Our Scars

Join Dr. Rusty for this message, which explores the beauty of our scars and the way God can transform wounds into witnesses of His faithfulness. Through the story of Jesus appearing to Thomas with His scars, we are reminded that scars are not evidence of defeat, but evidence of survival, healing, and the grace that carried us through what we thought would destroy us. The message challenges us to stop viewing our scars only as reminders of pain and begin seeing them as markers of God’s presence, redemption, and transforming power. Just as Jesus’ scars became a doorway to faith for Thomas, the places where we have been wounded may become the very places through which someone else encounters hope. Our scars do not glorify the suffering itself—they tell the story of what God brought us through and how His strength can shine through our weakness.
