Giant Slayers
Join Pastor Tyler for this message, which challenges us to recognize that everyone faces giants—circumstances, struggles, fears, and habits that can make us feel outmatched—but the size of the giant does not change the size of the God who stands with us. Through the story of David and Goliath, the sermon reveals that giants often gain power by convincing us to believe their voices, while faith remembers what God has already brought us through and trusts Him with the battle ahead. The message also explores the giants that can remain in our hearts even after we have come home to God, calling us to move beyond pride, jealousy, comparison, and resentment and become more like the Father. Rather than running from what intimidates us, believers are encouraged to run toward their giants with confidence that the battle belongs to the Lord. The sermon ultimately points to Jesus as the greatest Giant Slayer, reminding us that because we belong to Him, our past, failures, fear, anxiety, shame, and other struggles no longer have the authority to define or own us.
